Les Explorateur is situated in the Pashmina 5 star luxurious hotel in Val Thorens. Its decor and ambience are young and funky, in a Savoie kind of funky!
On the night of the visit we had a spectacular meal! Langustine carpaccio, a foie ballotine, each priced around €30, blue lobster €70, lamb €50 and dessert. Everything was perfect. Exciting, mouthwatering, sensational cooking, worth its price.
There were some issues in regards to service mainly due to the youngest of staff but the more experienced staff were more efficient.
To sum, Les Explorateur’s single star rating is an “anomaly” in the gastronomic galaxy! A second star would be more appropriate, to say the least!
