Planning a trip with budget airliner Ryan air. Some friends recommended them but is there anything I should watch out for?
They are indeed so cheap but you have to keep in mind a few things: If you want to check a bag it's extra. The carry-on luggage size is specific and they will test your bag to see if it fits their scale. There are no assigned seats on the plane so you have to stand in line early to grab the seat that you want. You can purchase priority seats for an extra charge and get a head start while boarding. Also there is no food on board unless you pay for it. And they usually flight in less popular airports which means some extra transportation. Other than that, their prices are ridiculously low and they are even considering flying to US and other destinations in the future.
