A brilliant chef, with the history and the future, performs every dish with masterful style. He is artistically inclined as you will notice from his dishes and he is also a courteous, open-hearted, and generous man if you get to know him. Although he is quite shy, if you give him a chance he will open up.
The first time we met him, it was quite a busy night and he showed up after service to meet everyone and shake hands. He seemed shy and modest but he knew that he was the star of the night. That's Gaetano, reserved but confident.
On our second visit to Arnolfo restaurant, it was a slow Monday lunch service and he was more relaxed. We talked quite a bit, though it was difficult because of the language barrier.
He did not appear to be the financial or marketing brains of the family, that would be his brother Trovatto.
Gaetano does what he does best. He cooks. And he is an artist. The awards and recognition Arnolfo has earned, are well deserved and well suited.
