"Unusual and intriguing decor"

NEW Hotel used to be known as the Olympic Palace Hotel. That was before Dakis. The wealthy Cypriot art patron and hoteliere, Dakis Joannou has done it again. Semiramis, TwentyOne, Periscope and Intercontinental Athens are all part of his Athens hotel collection.

This time he took a tired hotel and injected it with a dose of contemporary design, turning it into a young hotspot. The Brazilian brothers Fernando and Humberto Campana were responsible for the refurbishment of the 79-room establishment. Most of the furniture is custom-made while the fixtures are all handmade. The result is unusual and intriguing to say the least...
