The name Roscioli is attached to this multi purpose restaurant / deli / shop, as well as the Oven and Pizza place in the adjacent street. It is by far the most successful restaurant of this rustic deli type in Rome due to many reasons: the cozy environment, the professional service, and the abundance of traditional products.
These products are used in the kitchen and deli, as well as being available for sale, packed, wrapped, and fancy boxed for gifts. For instance there is a fancy Carbonara Box, complete with the pasta and the sauce. Sounds a little touristic? It is borderline touristic, but it works because it does not loose its authenticity, despite its heavily commercialized side.
