Situated literally within a green park, Steirereck im Stadtpark is an extraordinary establishment by definition.
Simple yet magnificent, urban yet green, minimal yet rich, this setting was a thing of beauty.
On the day of the visit, a Wednesday March 23 lunch service, the high end restaurant had at least a dozen guests.
We opted for the least expensive option, a 4-course lunch menu for €125 but we added a cheese course along the way after seeing (and smelling) the cheese cart for €20 more.
Exciting and adventurous, the dishes were anything but boring. Closer to the Nordic philosophy and less to the French.
Service was highly professional yet friendly at times.
