What started as a pop up Omakase restaurant 5 years ago, is now making its permanent way into the city of New York. Mayanoki is a small and intimate restaurant that uses only fish from sustainable sources. Currently, it is opened Thursday through Sunday for 2 night seatings.
On the day of the visit, Mayanoki had a $95 set menu which was a great alternative to the rest of the Omakase venues in NYC charging $200-$400!
The young Asian American chef was very friendly and answered all the questions guests had. The fish on the menu was very fresh and prepared perfectly by the talented chef.
Ambience was casual for this traditional experience. Service was also friendly and efficient.
