"High end tourist venue with a great ambience"

The Schweizerhof Kitchen is situated inside the small 4* hotel Schweizerhof Zermatt which enjoys a central location in the ski village. The village attracts a lot of tourists mostly during the winter season. The cozy ambience was enchanced by a live dj in this upbeat hotel lobby restaurant.

We tried off season dates to visit this highly expensive area, but we couldn't avoid the high season prices at this restaurant. On the day of the visit, a Sunday on October 24, we tried a kid's fish dish, the beef tartar, the salmon and fillet mignon. The food was properly prepared with fresh ingredients, though it did resemble a high-end, tourist menu, priced heavily. There were a lot of pizzas and salads on the menu for a lower cost alternative.

Service was OK.
