"Besides the classics and the orchestras, it hosts young talents."

The Avignon Opera Theatre is a multi purpose cultural venue, serving not only Avignon, but the Vaucluse area as well. Shows include of course opera, dance, theater and music. Besides the classics and the orchestras, it also hosts contemporary performances, supporting young actors, singers and musicians.

It is located in the Place d l'Horloge, next to the City Hall and it dates back to the 1850's.

Avignon Opera Theatre is a 5 level multi-storey sitting theater, all decorated in rich red color and warm wood.

Keep in mind that if you are opting for the top floor, there is no elevator.
