"Promenade with sea views, fishing boats, yachts & large cruise ships"

Hundreds of fishing boats are parked at the Marseille Old Port and if you go early in the morning you will see them returning from their fishing. There are also some yachts and large cruise ships which disembark in the historic Vieux port.

The pedestrian promenade is ideal for a stroll or relaxing with the sea view in front of you.

The recent addition in the area is a polished steel canopy, serving as an events' pavilion, designed by Foster + Partners. It's an interesting mirror roof which reflects whatever is happening in the ground.

Marseille's Old Port attracts tourists and there are bars and restaurants to accommodate them.

Make sure you check out Fort Saint-Jean (Marseille) if you are in the area.
