One of the upscale cities in Lake Como with a lot of tourists. The entire area of Como has a nostalgic slightly gloomy feel to it but at the same time it is very romantic and aristocratic. You can also take a boat tour around the lake from the Bellagio pier.
The streets of Bellagio and generally those around Lake Como are narrow and curvy. But there is the option of taking the car to Bellagio by car ferry, which is very common via Cadenabbia. There is also the option of taking the boat to Varenna and then take the train to Tirano, which is the last Italian station up north towards Switzerland.
The Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni is the area's most luxurious hotel option right after Villa d' Estee.
