Part of the Eptanisa island formation, Lefkada is famous for its gorgeous waters, which are amongst the finest in the world. Its beach sides such as Porto Katsiki and Egremni Beach combine breathtaking cliffs and sea view, which attract thousands of tourists. Keep in mind that some of the beaches may require some work to get reached by foot though.
Expect to find bright cyan, crystal clear waters, magnificent beaches, waterfalls, traditional villages and nice weather in this large island of 300 square kms and 22.000 inhabitants.
Nearby isles include Zakinthos, Kefalonia, Kerkyra, Paxi, Kythera and Ithaki.
