"Doric column has a spiral relief illustrating warrior scenes."

From a distance, the Column of Marcus Aurelius seems as a long pointy column in the center of Piazza Colonna. Up close (though a little far from the ground), this Doric column has a spiral relief illustrating warrior scenes from the Roman wars with the Marcomanni and Quadi and the Sarmatians during the 1st century.
