"Typical rose window, a vivid reminder of what used to be a palace."

Winchester palace used to have clergy residents back in the 13^th century and that is probably why it is located near the Southwark Cathedral, which used to be a medieval priory. The typical rose window is a vivid reminder of what used to be a palace. Now it is just historic ruins.
